Then my wild beautiful bird You will have flown Any day now Ill be all alone

I
I think the title above sung by elvis captures the sadness of the dead bird that has always represented children. the song is a perfect example.

Read the lyrics below to see what I mean.

Any day now I will hear you say
Goodbye my love
You'll be on your way
Then my wild beautiful bird
You will have flown
Any day now Ill be all alone
Oh, oh, oh

Any day now, when your restless eyes
Meet someone new
To my sad surprise
Then the blue shadow will fall all over town
Any day now
Love will let me down
Oh, oh, oh

I know I shouldn't want to keep you
If you don't want to stay, yeah
Until you've gone forever
I'll be holding on for dear life
Holding you this way
Begging you to stay

Any day now
When the clock strikes go
You'll call it off
Then my tears will flow
Then the blue shadow will fall all over town
Any day now
Love will let me down
Oh, oh, oh

Oh, any day now
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, any day now
Don't fly away my beautiful bird

Don't fly away my beautiful bird

Long Black Limousine

I have been to many funerals in my time. But never photographing a cemetery did I come upon a Funeral or a hearse in the cemetery. Just once, but I waited until after the funeral was over to photograph the hearses leaving. I did the best i could to skirt the funeral. I love this Elvis song about a hearse . it captures the feeling of seeing a hearse in an old historic cemetery of which i was in at the time.

Elvis Presley . Long black Limousine.

Joe and I are going home.

Wilson and Moore cemeteries are your typical little rural family graveyards on a forgotten county road that turns from rock to dirt. Mr. Wilson was a man of great means and wealth. I have been told he would pay off peoples debts without their knowledge as a way of kindness. Old joe was his dog i am told who was buried in a field and then later moved beside his owner some years later. Dogs stand for loyalty and old Adorns this old mans monument. I am told when he died he was broke and a man among men.

Upcoming Cemeteries

The next cemetery I plan to visit is in Farmers ville.. I look forward to this as they seemed to have strange history behind them as well as fascinating cemeteries as well. The above photo was taken out a Mugg cemetery.., Though I visit new Cemeteries I always find something new at My old Favorite haunts.. Taken in the helms family plot in late summer .. when fall was on its way..

A look at Warden Cemetery and its tragic and Fascinating occupants.

Warden Cemetery is located not far from my home .Upon fulfilling a Find A Grave request that has been open a while. I learned quite a lot from the family bio on that page of one man who's grave photo I put up. Its Tragic really, several people burned to death in 1901 after kerosene spilt from a lamp.
Here is the full story on this mans Bio.

My corset

My mother is a great seamstress ... I am fifth to her ability in sewing. I can design fantastic things all day long, but when it comes to sewing I suck. I can but I get frustrated easily. My mother helped me put together a blue Renaissance looking corset with buttonholes instead of eyelets for the lacing. This is an easy video for making a corset. We (she ) put in false seems to make it look like boning. The video was helpful but the girl was like a size two who made it.  Here is me in my corset .. ignore the two random cowboys things next to me. Its the only picture I had and i live in Bfe in Texas full of cowboys and good Ole Boys. Oh well.
Your probably wondering what the hell this has to do with cemeteries.. it does not  exactly.. but it does go well with my love of the Victorian age and bygone eras.

How firm a Foundation ..

Sometimes the messages that the Victorians conveyed on stones showed a hope in the other side ( heaven) the afterlife that I feel so much is missing from the world today. A loss of faith  which is said. The Victorians even carved in stone that belief of meeting on the other side. From the stone with the anchor meeting anchor in god, to the hands shaping and husband and wife meeting on the other side. To finally be at peace in slumber after serving the lord  and just your soul being happy on the eternal shore. From the song How Firm A Foundation ' A soul though all hell should endeavor to shake.. I,ll never ... no never.. never forsake... Conveys it all.
